2022 FIFA World Cup: Top 12 UNEXPECTED players who have made Otto Addo’s 55-man Black Stars provisional squad

Black Stars coach Otto Addo has named his 55-man provisional squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament which comes off later in November in Qatar.

The 47-year-old has extended invitations to players who fall outside of the pool of players he has invited since taking charge of the team 10 months ago.

Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey, Daniel Amartey, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, Denis Odoi, and Jojo Wollacott are among some of the players who have featured regularly for the Black Stars during the tenure of the Hamburg-born.

However, there are some 12 players who have surprisingly made the squad against all odds.

  2. Ibrahim Imoro – Al-Hilal Omdurman (Sudan)
  3. Kasim Adams – FC Basel (Switzerland)
  4. Mudasiru Salifu – FC Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova)
  5. Jeffrey Schlupp – Crystal Palace (England)
  6. Mohammed Dauda – CD Tenerife (Spain)
  7. Ernest Nuamah – Nordsjaelland (Denmark)
  8. Kamal Sowah – Club Brugge (Belgium)
  9. Joel Fameyeh – Rubin Kazan (Russia)
  10. Samuel Owusu – FC Cukaricki (Serbia)
  11. Caleb Ekuban – Genoa (Italy)
  12. Richmond Boakye-Yiadom – PAS Lamia 1964 (Greece)
