Ex-Ghana Premier League star scores cracking goal for Al Ittihad in Egypt

Former Ghana Premier League midfielder Salifu Moro scored the opening goal for Al Ittihad Alexandria when they dismantled National Bank of Egypt 3-0 in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.

Salifu, 23, who made a name for himself playing for Bechem United in the Ghanaian top-flight two seasons ago, scored the fine opener.

It becomes the first time the midfield dynamo who was once tracked by both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko scores a league goal for his club.

While he was scoring on the day, his Ghanaian compatriot Benjamin Bernard Boateng came off the bench to also feature for the side while former Lierse SK defender Issahaku Yakubu also played at the heart of defence for the losers.
