Demoted Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold will not have majority of their senior players for the 2022/23 Division Two League season, according to Asempa FM’s SportsNite show.

Kumasi-based broadcast journalist Edmund Osafo-Addo has reported that up to 10 first team members have opted not to continue at the club with the Division Two League drawing closer.

CAS has imposed provisional measures on the club’s players who were banned by the Ghana FA’s Disciplinary Committee for participating in a proven match of convenience.

The players request to leave the club has forced the current leadership of the club to resort to using the youth team players to play in the Division Two League.

Both AshantiGold and Inter Allies were demoted to the third-tier league after being found guilty of match-fixing.
