Martin Kyei, the Asante Kotoko fan who ran naked at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, has denied winning a sports bet.
The 32-year-old stormed down the stadium’s titan tracks naked to celebrate the Porcupine Warriors’ 1-0 victory over Hearts of Oak in Sunday’s Super Clash.
According to several online publications, the excited fan had won a sports bet.
But, the fan has told Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s Sports Nite show that he was merely excited and denies winning any bet.
“I don’t know how to bet neither was I drunk. I didn’t bet on any match and I had not taken any drugs. I’m a Kotoko fan and I was just excited about the victory,” he said.
“I want to use this medium to render an apology to everyone who got offended by my actions. I won’t repeat it in the future,” he added.
