With pride and satisfaction, I confidently declare that Ghana Armwrestling had a great and successful year 2022, recounting the many achievements.
A year when our outstanding athletes won 45 medals at the Africa Armwrestling Championship and participated in the World Championships, we PROUDLY got Armwrestling to become a sports code for the Africa Games.
Myself having been elected into office as the President for the Armwrestling Federation of Africa and Vice President of the World body, my vice president Kofi Addo-Agyekum also was elected the Vice President for Africa Armwrestling and President for the West Region.
Mr. Husseini Akueteh Addy becoming the Technical Director and Head Referee for Africa Armwrestling and a Member of the World Armwrestling Referees Panel, was an elevation we cherished. We had major competitions locally, trained would-be coaches, referees and technical officials to build the capacity for Armwrestling,
The biggest of all, our partnership with SES HD+ for the HD+ Kids Armwrestling where we encouraged many Junior High and Senior High Schools to play Armwrestling nationwide.
2023 comes with many opportunities and actions and we are confident to achieve our goals.
With the support of Ghana, we will be visible and shall aggressively pay attention to development at the Basic, Senior High, Tertiary and the community levels. We will announce various committees to help take Ghana Armwrestling to the next level.
We encourage corporate Ghana to invest in Ghana Armwrestling as we prepare to host the 12th Africa Armwrestling Championship in May, and our sturdy preparation towards winning more Gold Medals for Ghana during the 2023 Africa Games.
