Hearts of Oak head coach Slavko Matic has lauded the mental toughness and attitude of his players following their 1-0 away triumph over Nsoatreman in the Ghana Premier League.

Attacker Kwadwo Obeng Junior profited from a defensive howler as he walked the ball into the net inside the 54th-minute mark.

The victory extends Hearts’ unbeaten run under Matic to 6 games – 4 wins and 2 draws, moving temporarily to 2nd place on the log.

After the game, the Serbian trainer spoke about the attitude of his players.

“Congratulations to my players. They once again showed attitude and amazing character,” the 46-year-old said during the post-match interview.

During the second-half we changed the positioning of some players and they adapted very well. I think the better team won today. We changed the system from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1 and made a lot more high presses and were aggressive on the second balls,” he added.

The former Al-Ahli Doha manager also commented on the performance of center referee Dr. Moro Osman.

“I must also add that the performance of the referee was not good,” he said.
