Details have emerged of a contract offer from Iraqi Premier League side Al-Talaba Sports Club for exiled Asante Kotoko defender Abdul Ganiyu Ismail.

The proposed one-year deal is worth $5,000 a month and the 26-year-old is set to accept the offer tabled before him by the Al-Rusafa-based club.

Ghana Sports Online has learnt the contract offer date of the deal starts from September 2022 and ends date in August 2023.

According to Kumasi-based Pure FM, the Porcupine Warriors have decided to declare defender Abdul Ganiyu Ismail as surplus to requirement and would be ready to accept an offer for him.

Kotoko have stripped Ganiyu off his captaincy position after internally declaring the former Karela United center-back as a bad influence on the squad.

He becomes the second Ghanaian player from the top-flight league to join an Iraqi side after Emmanuel Nettey left Hearts of Oak last season to join Kurdistan-based side Duhok.

Below is a screenshot of the contract obtained by Ghana Sports Online.
