Ghana Premier League record-winners Asante Kotoko are considering handing a contract extension to defender Christopher Nettey, according to Accra-based Asempa FM.

Nettey, 24, joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2019 and has scored one league goals in 57 appearances for the club.

With his contract set to run out at the end of the season, the Kumasi-based club have been considering handing him a fresh offer.

However, Enoch Worlanyo has reported that on Asempa FM’s SportsNite Leaks that the Kotoko hierarchy is also concerned about the age of the player and his resale value.

The source further claimed that Kotoko are meticulously reviewing the pros and cons of the proposal before making a decision.
