Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are plotting a summer move for ex-Barcelona trialist, Seth Osei, ahead of their likely CAF Champions League campaign next season, according to Kumasi-based broadcast journalist Jonathan Asiedu on Asempa FM.

The 22-year-old came close to securing a switch to the Porcupine Warriors before the start of the season but the proposed move hit the snag.

According to reports from Kumasi, the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League leaders are currently monitoring the situation of the player at AshantiGold and will make an offer to the Miners to sign the player.

Osei has just a season left on his contract and the Kotoko management will test AshantiGold’s resolve to keep hold of the player.

Journalist Asiedu reports that the player and his representatives have decided against signing an extension to his contract with the Obuasi-based club.

Reports from Kumasi reveal Prosper Ogum is certain about the qualities of the offensive midfielder and has given the green light for the club’s hierarchy to go for the signature of the player.

The attacker has scored 3 goals in 16 games for the Miners this season.
